SIMI urges Govt to extend scrappage scheme

The Society of the Irish Motor Industry is calling on the Government to extend the car scrappage scheme.

SIMI said the initiative - introduced in January for one year - has helped to significantly boost the industry which has seen a dramatic rise in car sales.
