Eurozone markets take a hammering

European markets are taking a hammering this afternoon as efforts continue in Brussels to protect the struggling euro.

London's FTSE was down 22 points earlier, the DAX in Frankfurt was down 60 points while here at home the ISEQ index of Irish shares is down 48 points.
