Chinese economy boosted by import and export figures

China’s imports and exports both grew strongly in April in a new positive sign for the world’s third-largest economy.

Exports surged 30.5% over a year earlier to US$119.9bn while imports jumped 49.7% to US$118.2bn, the Xinhua News Agency said.
