Increase of 33.1% in new private cars licensed

There were 11,707 new private cars licensed in February 2010, compared with 8,793 in February 2009, an increase of 33.1%, new figures released today by the Central Statistics Office revealed.

The number of new goods vehicles licensed in February 2010 was 1,494 compared with 1,097 in the corresponding month last year - an increase of 36.2%.
