ISEQ index down at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 42.66 points at 3,044.87 this evening, a drop of 1.38%.

Among the fallers were Tullow Oil, falling 82c to €14.60; Aryzta, down 35c to €27.85; DCC, down 31c to €20.09; FBD, slipping 20c to €6.50; Paddy Power, also down 20c to €24.20; Elan Corp, falling 18c to €5.44; Smurfit Kappa, down 17c to €6.40, and CRH, sliding 14c to €17.81.
