Chambers Ireland hits out at public-sector strikes

Chambers Ireland is criticising public-sector trade unions which have begun formally serving notice of industrial action on the Government.

It is part of a campaign of opposition to pay cuts announced in the last Budget.

Senior officials in the Congress of Trade Unions are meeting today to discuss their plans.

However, Chambers says that public servants have enjoyed job security, while private sector workers have been flexible in order to keep their jobs and companies afloat.
