Budget cuts threaten long-term growth, says economist

Spending cuts in tomorrow's Budget could be at the expense of long-term economic growth according to a leading European economist.

In an interview with newsire service Bloomberg Michael O'Sullivan, head of asset allocation at Credit Suisse private banking, said the severe cutbacks proposed in the Budget risk depressing the economy and creating long term problems.
