A spike in production of chemicals from the pharmaceutical sector pushed industrial output into positive territory in September, reversing a sharp decline in August.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that on a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production here grew at an annual rate of just over half of 1% during the month.
