The Irish Small & Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) today warned about a dramatic rise in black economy activities and the re-emergence of a ‘nixer’ culture, which is undermining legitimate businesses, threatening jobs and livelihoods in the process.

The Irish Small & Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) today warned about a dramatic rise in black economy activities and the re-emergence of a ‘nixer’ culture, which is undermining legitimate businesses, threatening jobs and livelihoods in the process.

The Association called for a tougher approach by Government, warning that unless immediate action is taken, legitimate businesses will close, further jobs will be lost and taxation revenues will continue to suffer.
