The ISEQ index of Irish shares was marginally up in morning trading, improving 4.76 points to 2,928.58.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was marginally up in morning trading, improving 4.76 points to 2,928.58.

In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland led the way, rising 10c to €1.85. Irish Life and Permanent gained 4c to €4.70 and Allied Irish Banks inched up 1c to €1.70.
