The value of Irish shares plunged by 2% today, as the ISEQ index fell 61.70 points to 2,974.99.
In the financial sector, Irish Life and Permanent showed a rare loss, down 20c to €4.90. Bank of Ireland shed 10c to €2.28, with Allied Irish Banks inching down 1c to €2.40.
