It was a day of slight decline for the ISEQ index of Irish shares today, falling 19.04 points to 3,096.16.

It was a day of slight decline for the ISEQ index of Irish shares today, falling 19.04 points to 3,096.16.

It was a mixed day for the financials. Bank of Ireland (down 21c to €2.50) and Allied Irish Banks (down 14c to €2.67) both lost ground. Irish Life and Permanent showed an impressive 15c gain to €4.75.
