Poor morning for ISEQ
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 33.76 points to 3,014.77 in morning trading today.
Unusually for an overall drop, the financials all improved. Bank of Ireland led the way, gaining 15c to €2.33. Allied Irish Banks was up 10c to €2.30. After announcing an operating loss of €51m for the first half of this year, Irish Life and Permanent climbed 11c to €4.09.
