Vodafone Ireland revenues down, but mobile activity up

Irish mobile phone users continue to outpace their European cousins when it comes to phone use, talking and texting twice as much as mobile users in other European countries.

The trend was confirmed by Vodafone Ireland today, after the group revealed that Irish customers used an average of 254 voice minutes and sent 172 texts in the three months to the end of June. Each figure was an increase over last year, up 3.3% and 4.9% respectively.
