ISEQ marginally up
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was marginally up in early trading this morning, adding 17.53 points to 2,718.46 by 11.35am.
Notable among the risers were CRH, adding 42c to €16.74; Elan Corp, lifting 14c to €5.33; Ryanair, up 4c to €3.24; FBD, also up 4c to €6.45, and C&C, adding 2c to €2.14.
On the fallers' board, Greencore and Kerry Group were both down 10c, to €1.04 and €17.50 respectively, with Grafton Group slipping 6c to €2.55 and Paddy Power down 5c to €18.25.
Fortunes were mixed among the financial stocks, with AIB down 11c to €1.60 and Bank of Ireland shedding 4c to €1.62, but Irish Life & Permanent adding 2c to €2.86.
