The Irish Small & Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) has accused the Government of "dereliction of duty" in the struggle to ensure prompt payments for small and medium firms from big business and state bodies.

In a statement following the released today of the latest ISME Credit Watch survey results, the association said the delay in payment has increased to 73 days on average, as the Government "ignores the plight of SMEs".
