ISEQ down almost 40 points

The ISEQ index of Irish shares dropped 39.67 points in early trading this morning, falling to 2,636.71 by 11.45am.

Index majors on the fallers' board included Kerry Group, down 53c to 16.07; Paddy Power, falling 25c to 15.20; CRH, slipping 22c to 18.00; Glanbia, down 6c to 2.39; Elan Corp, shedding 4c to 5.03; Aer Lingus, down 3c to 0.60, and Ryanair, slipping 1c to 3.32.
