Toyota reports worst loss in company history
Toyota today reported a 436.94 billion yen (€3.27bn) net loss for the fiscal year to March, a larger loss than it had forecast and its worst result in company history.
Worse may be yet to come. The world’s largest carmaker said today it expected its operating loss – which reflects its core carmaking business – to grow to 850 billion yen (€6.36bn) for the year to March 2010 from 461 billion yen (€3.36bn) this past year.
