The ISEQ index of Irish shares finished 21.16 points down to 2,682.00 in what was an active day's trading.
The news was positive among the financials, with AIB up 16c to 1.20, Bank of Ireland rising 25c to 1.18 and Irish Life & Permanent cheering 19c to 2.29.
