New car sales down almost 67%

The amount of new cars registered in April was 4,448, according to figures released today, a drop of 66.71% on the same month last year.

Registrations for the year to date stand a 36,997, down 65.20% on the figure to end of April 2008, according to the figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI).
