Big gains on Irish Stock Exchange

The value of Irish shares shot up more than 2.5% today, as the ISEQ index gained 62.36% to 2,372.89.

There was mixed fortunes for the financials. Irish Life & Permanent enjoyed another gain, up 12c to €1.92. Allied Irish Bank (down 9c to €1.12) and Bank of Ireland (down 6c to 84c) did not fare as well however.
