Good early gains for banks

Financial stocks make solid gains on the ISEQ index of Irish shares this morning, pulling the exchange 33.39 points higher to 2,397.03 by 11.45.

AIB was up 18c or 20.34% to 1.06, Bank of Ireland had climbed 20c or 29.41% to 0.86 and Irish Life & Permanent jumped 35c or 22.58% to 1.90.
