The ISEQ index of Irish shares was once again in negative territory today, falling 48.29 points to 2,358.53.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was once again in negative territory today, falling 48.29 points to 2,358.53.

Once again, the fall was brought about by a drop in the price of bank shares, which all declined by around 15%. Irish Life & Permanent shares were down 16c to €1.65, with Allied Irish Bank (down 16c to 93c) and Bank of Ireland (down 10c to 51c) following.
