Firms refusing work due to insurance fears

Some businesses in the North are turning down work because they cannot obtain insurance amid the economic downturn, it was revealed today.

Fear of bad debts have led to insurers withdrawing with no notice - increasing the risk to companies, according to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
