The carrier will lay on Saturday flights from Manchester to Barbados between May 2 and November 7, to add to its existing Sunday departures to the Caribbean island.

There will also be extra seats available between Manchester and Orlando in Florida, with an additional Sunday departure between April 26 and November 8.

Virgin also said it would be adding a third weekly service – on Fridays – for the winter 2009 season between November 13 2009 and March 19 2010 on its flights between Manchester and Montego Bay in Jamaica.

The airline’s twice-weekly Heathrow-Mauritius service will resume for the winter season on November 13 2009, after stopping for the summer on April 25.
