Aer Lingus shares rise despite passenger drop
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up 6.71 points to 2,509.19 in early trading this morning, with Aer Lingus having climbed 16c or 11.85% to 1.51 by 11am despite earlier figures revealing a 3% drop in passenger numbers for November.
Ryanair, which yesterday issued a five-point plan outlining details of its takeover bid for the former national carrier, also rose, up 6c to 3.00.
