ISEQ up slightly at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up slightly today, rising 9.31 points or 0.37% to 2,515.99.

Banking shares were down almost across the board, with Allied Irish Banks and Bank of Ireland slipping 24c to 2.33 and 15c to 1.27 respectively. Irish Life & Permanent shed 7c or 4.12% to finish at 1.63, while Anglo Irish Bank gained 9c, but remained shy of the €1 mark at 94c.
