British newspaper seeks to shed jobs

The Telegraph has become the latest media group to seek job cuts in response to the economic downturn, which has hit newspaper advertising, it was revealed today.

The company, which produces the Daily and Sunday Telegraph as well as a website, has written to staff announcing plans for job losses across all areas of its operation.
