Market turmoil hit the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) hard in the third quarter of this year, the exchange announced today.

The value of equities traded on the exchange in the period exceeded €27.2bn, while the total value of equities traded year to date was €95.9bn, a decrease of 47% and 37% on the 2007 comparative figures.
