There was a year-on-year fall of more than a third in the number of new cars licensed last month, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

There was a year-on-year fall of more than a third in the number of new cars licensed last month, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

A total of 6,822 new private cars were licensed in August, compared with 10,006 in August, 2007, a decrease of 31.8%.
