Trump sells mansion to Russian oligarch

The real estate market might be slumping, but not for Donald Trump who has sold a Palm Beach mansion for $100m (€63m) to a Russian billionaire.

Mr Trump’s spokeswoman says $100m (€63m) is the most ever paid for an estate in the US, though there is no way to verify the claim.

Russian fertiliser billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev purchased the roughly 60,000 square-foot oceanfront home, which Mr Trump fixed up after buying it for about $41m (€26m) in 2004.

Mr Trump said: “In an age of so many people getting hurt in real estate, it shows that you can still do well in real estate.”
