UK: Standard strawberries get the thumbs up

A consumer taste test has rated standard supermarket strawberries as highly as organic and premium varieties, according to which.co.uk.

Testers could detect no difference in taste or appearance between the different berries – despite some premium punnets costing almost three times as much as the standard option.

Which? asked 120 people to taste strawberries from Asda, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose.
