Supermarket items are much cheaper in the North than their equivalents in the South, according to a new survey from the National Consumer Agency (NCA).

The agency found considerable mark-ups on branded goods when compared with prices in the North. There was, however, a much smaller difference in price between own-brand goods north and south of the Border.
