Craft unions at SR Technics vote in favour of new work practices

The craft group of unions at SR Technics has voted in favour of implementing new work practices at the company.

Around 1200 workers were balloted on proposals aimed at reducing costs at the north Dublin firm.

The cost cutting measures involve staff working longer hours and more night-shifts.

Management claim the new practices are crucial to the company's survival.

Regional Officer with Unite trade union William Quigley says the workers have signed up for the new deal.
