Gains for ISEQ

The value of Irish shares swelled today, as the ISEQ index was up 52.75 points to finish on 6530.67.

The financials were among the best performers with Irish Life and Permanent leading the way up 30c to €10.55. AIB was close behind gaining 29c to €13.39 with Bank of Ireland up 19c to €19.50. Anglo Irish Bank was the only financial heavyweight to buck the positive trend dropping 2c to €9.07.
