Johnston maintains revenues improvement in UK
Newspaper group Johnston Press maintained its recent trading improvement today, but urged a “degree of caution” about prospects in 2008.
Johnston, which publishes 18 daily newspapers and 291 weekly titles, said advertising revenues increased by 0.2% in the five months to November 30, with like-for-like UK print advertising revenues showing a fall of 0.8%. During the first six months of the year, the equivalent figures showed reductions of 1.5% and 2.9% respectively.
