IBEC: Budget must promote economic activity

Business groups are calling on the Minister for Finance Brian Cowen to ensure his budget this afternoon promotes greater economic activity.

The employers' body IBEC wants Mr Cowen to make wage growth reliant on productivity, which it says would help cut costs and boost competitiveness.
