Barclays launches recruitment drive

Banking giant Barclays offset some of the gloom in the industry today by revealing plans for as many as 800 new jobs at its Wealth unit.

Amid reports of shrinking bonuses and potential job cuts in the banking sector, Barclays said its wealth arm was enjoying a period of expansion.
