Gains for ISEQ as market closes

The ISEQ index was up 157.26 to 7802.06 as an optimistic day's trading came to a close this evening.

The financials did well overall, with Irish Life and Permanent leading the way soaring an impressive 82c to €15.68. Both AIB and Anglo Irish Bank gained 36c to €16.93 and €12.12 respectively. Bank of Ireland followed the positive trend up 18c to €11.96.
