The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up this evening, climbing 195.90 points to 7811.73.
Irish Life and Permanent was the main mover of the day, soaring 67c to €15.35. The rest of the financial houses were also moving into positive territory with AIB up an impressive 58c to €16.58 and Bank of Ireland not far behind up by 56c to €12.60. Anglo Irish Bank was also up by 39c to €12.70.
