Construction industry spent €7bn on repair in 2006

Figures released by the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) show the value of repair, maintenance and improvement work in the construction industry was almost €7bn in 2006, or almost 19% of an industry worth in excess of €36bn.

Figures released by the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) show the value of repair, maintenance and improvement work in the construction industry was almost €7bn in 2006, or almost 19% of an industry worth in excess of €36bn.

The €7bn total for the value of the repair, maintenance and improvement work includes residential premises, non-residential premises such as offices, factories and other buildings and civil engineering work. The CIF forecast this sector to grow year on year by 4% over the medium term.
