Gas price slashed by 11%

The Energy Regulator has announced another reduction in gas prices which will come into effect later this year.

The regulator says Bord Gais prices will be coming down by 11% from October 1st due to lower wholesale prices, as well as reduced gas network costs.

It says it is eager to ensure these savings are passed directly back to the customer.

In February, Bord Gais prices were also reduced by 10%.
