M&S boss secures bumper pay rise

Marks & Spencer boss Stuart Rose earned £7.8m (€11.5m) in salary and bonuses last year after a bumper 12 months of growth for the resurgent retailer.

The high street chain’s chief executive secured a cash and shares bonus of £2.6m (€3.8m) on top of his £1.05m (€1.54m) salary, itself raised from £975,000 (€1.4m)at the beginning of the year.
