BT yields more than €1bn in Ireland

BT today announced a strong performance across Ireland for the year to the end of March 2007 with turnover growing 7% to €1.09bn compared with €1.02bn for the same period last year.

BT today announced a strong performance across Ireland for the year to the end of March 2007 with turnover growing 7% to €1.09bn compared with €1.02bn for the same period last year.

New wave business fuelled revenue growth which was up 41% year on year and represented 28% of total turnover.

BT improved in the IT services sector and is now the second largest networked IT services provider in Ireland.

The company secured a number of high profile business and public sector contracts in the year including Airtricity, Element 6, Irish Dairy Board, Loyaltybuild, Bank of Scotland (Ireland), Enable Ireland and Regional Theatre Management System for the Department of Health, Social Services & Public Safety (NI).
