British Gas owner Centrica gave shareholders a lift today after it said it may better profits forecasts for the current financial year.

British Gas owner Centrica gave shareholders a lift today after it said it may better profits forecasts for the current financial year.

Shares rose by almost 2% as the group benefited from the addition of 900,000 customers since February and said market conditions appeared favourable.
