The governor of the Central Bank, John Hurley, today announced the appointment of Tony Grimes as director general designate of the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland.

The governor of the Central Bank, John Hurley, today announced the appointment of Tony Grimes as director general designate of the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland.

He will take up his position as Director General when Liam Barron retires from the position, having reached retirement age, on August 17, 2007.
