Prudential posts UK sales drop

Life insurer Prudential today reported more woes at its domestic business as it said first quarter sales had slipped by 23% in the UK.

The group, which last month announced thousands of possible job cuts amid a sweeping overview of its UK operation, said total sales within the business reached £183 million in the first few months of the year.
