Number of job vacancies up

A total of 15% of firms in the private sector reported vacancies in March, compared to 12% in the previous month, according to figures from the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI).

The increase in vacancies was driven by the services sector, where 23% of firms reported openings - an increase of 7%.
