ISEQ and FTSE endure early decline

The ISEQ index has showed little sign of recovery in early trading, slumping 230.11 points to 9,025.98 in another difficult session for world markets today.

The FTSE 100 Index briefly fell below 6,000. The impact of a 3% fall for the Nikkei in Tokyo added to the problems of last week as the Footsie stood 96.1 points lower at 6020.1 after an hour of trading.
