Talks planned in bid to resolve row over Shannon cutbacks
Exploratory talks are to be held at Shannon Airport today in an effort to resolve a dispute over a new cost-cutting plan.
Last month, staff overwhelmingly rejected the €35m restructuring deal amid concerns over job security.
Management says the plan is necessary to secure the future of the airport.
Today's talks on the matter are due to be overseen by the chief executive of the Labour Relations Commission and are designed to ascertain if there is a basis for negotiations on the matter.
